BRUNEI Press Sdn Bhd yesterday celebrated Hari Raya Aidilfitri with over a hundred of its staff and a festive gathering held at Millennium Restaurant in Beribi.
Among the invited guests were the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of QAF Group, Albert Lau, as well as the Director (Non-Executive) of Brunei Press, Dato Yusoff Abdul Hamid, and spouse.
Also present were the senior management of Brunei Press and QAF Group.
In his welcoming remarks, the General Manager of Brunei Press, Reggie See, said, “So far, the year 2016 has been very challenging from uncertainties and instable global economic conditions.”
The reduction in public expenditures has also affected businesses in Brunei, he also said.
“In this difficult time, we must uphold our corporate values of commitment, integrity and trust to achieve our standard of quality as a leading publisher and printer in Brunei Darussalam.”
He also emphasised on maintaining one’s health in the difficult business environment as Brunei was ranked top for obesity in Asean in the Global Nutrition Report 2016.
In order to promote a healthy workforce, Brunei Press yesterday also presented Fitness Zone membership vouchers to the winners of a lucky draw held during the celebration, for which the staff, dressed in their best traditional Malay attire, were treated to some mouth-watering delicacies served in a buffet spread.
The annual celebration has become a norm for the management and staff to come together and foster closer ties, especially in the festive period.
