2nd Politeknik Brunei International Symposium comes to a close

POLITEKNIK Brunei concluded its 2nd International Symposium on Innovative Teaching and Learning yesterday at the Pengiran Anak Puteri Rashidah Sa’adatul Bolkiah Institute of Health Sciences (PAPRSB IHS), Universiti Brunei Darussalam (UBD).

A total of 189 participants, comprising those from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB), Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali (UNISSA), Students Affairs Division of the Religious Teachers University College of Seri Begawan (KUPU SB), Institute of Brunei Technical Education (IBTE) and representatives from primary and secondary schools, attended the two-day symposium that included lecturers from Politeknik Brunei and PAPRSB IHS, UBD. BRUNEI Press emerged champions at the 64th Anniversary Information Department Netball Championship after enjoying an unbeaten run in the entire competition, at the Hassanal Bolkiah Stadium Sports Hall of the Royal Brunei Police Force Headquarter yesterday.

Played in a round robin format, Brunei Press accumulated a total of 15 points with five victories out of five, with the Prime Minister’s Office taking the runners-up spot after notching nine points with their only loss coming against the eventual champions. Read more

A CEREMONY took place yesterday at Fitness Zone in Kiulap to present prizes to 49 winners of the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata She Runs Quiz. The contest was organised by Brunei Press, the publisher for both newspapers, and received 2,200 entries. The contest was sponsored by Fitness Zone, Royal Brunei Airlines, Bake Culture, The Energy Kitchen, WoMen Hair, Tanita and BMW. Read more

D’SUNLIT Sdn Bhd, which is organising the 18th Consumer Fair, held another signing ceremony for one of the event partners, Brunei Press Sdn Bhd and activity partner, Bake Culture, yesterday.

The official signing ceremony for the event was held last week on May 11 at the multipurpose hall of D’Sunlit’s office in Beribi Light Industrial Estate, Phase II.

Present to sign on behalf of D’Sunlit was Managing Director, Jackson Ting, while Wu Chun, local superstar of Brunei Darussalam and Managing Director of Bake Culture, signed the agreement on behalf of Bake Culture along with two other directors, David Tan and Chris Limp. Read more

RECENTLY, the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata organised a ‘She Runs 2016’ quiz, which received an overwhelming response of over 2,200 entries.

Yesterday, 49 names were picked out of 1,151 correct entries in a draw held at the Brunei Press building in Beribi, by Wu Chun, the Managing Director of Fitness Zone, and founder of the charity run, which is in its second year of inception. Read more
