Brunei Press, Bake Culture sign in for Consumer Fair

D’SUNLIT Sdn Bhd, which is organising the 18th Consumer Fair, held another signing ceremony for one of the event partners, Brunei Press Sdn Bhd and activity partner, Bake Culture, yesterday.

The official signing ceremony for the event was held last week on May 11 at the multipurpose hall of D’Sunlit’s office in Beribi Light Industrial Estate, Phase II.

Present to sign on behalf of D’Sunlit was Managing Director, Jackson Ting, while Wu Chun, local superstar of Brunei Darussalam and Managing Director of Bake Culture, signed the agreement on behalf of Bake Culture along with two other directors, David Tan and Chris Limp. Read more

RECENTLY, the Borneo Bulletin and Media Permata organised a ‘She Runs 2016’ quiz, which received an overwhelming response of over 2,200 entries.

Yesterday, 49 names were picked out of 1,151 correct entries in a draw held at the Brunei Press building in Beribi, by Wu Chun, the Managing Director of Fitness Zone, and founder of the charity run, which is in its second year of inception. Read more

IN CONJUNCTION with World AIDS Day, the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC) partnered with Brunei Press Sdn Bhd to highlight and increase the awareness of HIV/AIDS through World AIDS Day quizzes and red ribbon sales, with the support of The Body Shop Brunei and JPMC Fitness Centre.

A prize (and cheque) presentation for the quizzes and red ribbon sales was held yesterday at the CME Room of JPMC for 10 lucky quiz winners who received goodie bags – jointly sponsored by JPMC and The Body Shop Brunei – from Sadiqah Javerine Voon, the Marketing Communications Manager of The Body Shop Brunei, and Yap Chong Siong, the Circulation Supervisor of Brunei Press Sdn Bhd. THE winners of the recent “Are You HIV Aware” quiz are set to be announced tomorrow in the Borneo Bulletin and the Media Permata, following a draw of the their names at the Brunei Press Commercial Printing Services.

Organised by the Jerudong Park Medical Centre (JPMC), in partnership with Brunei Press Sdn Bhd and supported by The Body Shop Brunei, the quiz was held to mark World AIDS Day, which is observed annually on December 1.

The quiz featured several questions on HIV/AIDS, including about the symptoms and how the virus is spread. Read more

ITB graduates, students conferred special awards

IN CONJUNCTION with the Institut Teknologi Brunei’s (ITB) convocation yesterday, a number of graduates as well as first, second and third year students were celebrated in a special awards ceremony at the International Convention Centre in Berakas.

Present as the guest of honour to confer the awards was Pehin Orang Kaya Indera Pahlawan Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Suyoi bin Haji Osman, Minister of Education in his capacity as the Chairman of the ITB Council.

Also present were members of the ITB Council, including Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Bahrom bin Pengiran Haji Bahar, Deputy Minister of Education and Dato Paduka Awang Haji Abdul Mokti bin Haji Mohd Daud, Deputy Minister of Religious Affairs. Read more
